Roasted coffee requires time, effort, and a great deal of trial and error to bring out its rich and pleasing aroma. But with roasted coffee taking time to reach its destination, packaging plays an important role. The right materials and features can preserve the coffee’s aroma for long enough to ensure that consumers experience the flavors you list on the coffee pouches.
In 1895, Thomas Royal made the first multi-layer paper coffee bags. One layer is hardly enough to protect the aroma of roasted coffee beans, and a combination of different materials is needed to protect against moisture, oxygen, sunlight, heat and other factors. He found that this was the most effective oxygen barrier compared to plastic, paper and other more porous alternatives. Aluminium is also resistant to moisture. Polymer films coated with a thin layer of aluminium are therefore widely used.
1) PET / VMPET / LLDPE: this material is good barrier and toughness, with the possibility of adding an air release valve.
2) Kraft Paper / PET / AL / LLDPE : This material uses paper for a textured look and aluminium foil for added barrier, with the possibility of adding an air release valve.
3) PET/ AL / LLDPE: This material has good barrier and toughness, with aluminium foil for added barrier.
4) MOPP / PET /AL /LLDPE: If you want a matte surface, we could use this structure with good barrier.
5)PE/EVOH/PE is reacyclable material, we also us it to make coffee pouch, with EVOH high barrier material.
